Nestled against Great Sandy National Park, Rainbow Beach is a small coastal village encircled by the natural beauty of sculpted coloured sand cliffs, tall coastal forest and the brilliant blue of the ocean. Rainbow Beach is located just 2 ½ hours drive north of Brisbane and 1 ½ hours from the Sunshine Coast.
This unique natural landscape was formed by the same dune building processes that created World Heritage listed Fraser Island which is just a ten minute ferry ride from Rainbow Beach.
An incredibly diverse range of natural attractions offer endless opportunities for exploration and relaxation. Explore vividly coloured sand cliffs, freshwater lakes and Carlo sandblow or enjoy slow-paced strolls along an endless white beach accompanied by the relaxing rhythm of waves rolling into shore.

Retreat into rainforests teeming with birdlife, emerging onto sand dunes which are millions of years old, offering vantage points to enjoy incredible coastal vistas north to Fraser Island and south to Double Island Point lighthouse.
